I 'm not like a regular dietitian

I’m an intuitive eating dietitian, and I’d love for that to be more common

My goal is to help you create a plan to improve your relationship with food (yes, you have one) and end chronic dieting for good.

I strive to help you recognize and challenge diet culture, turn down the volume on negative and unhelpful info about diets and exercise, and tune into your own body’s needs amidst a world that is diet-obsessed.

Does that mean I’m going to tell you to go eat cheese fries and quit your gym membership? Definitely not! Nourishing yourself does not mean ignoring your health. Being in a cycle of restricting, overeating, and feeling out of control can be frustrating, especially if you’ve been stuck in it for a while.

It takes time and practice to break from the mindset of needing a “fresh start” tomorrow…over and over again.

I know a few things about nutrition

I grew up in the 90’s and 00’s, a time when cable TV and magazines were the primary way of consuming media and images. This was also a time when the concepts of body diversity and inclusivity were not so mainstream. These issues have made some progress in the past decade or so, but we still have a lot of work to do to get to a place where health and nutrition are accessible for people in all body types.

Today I’m a mom of 3 and my mission is to create a world where my family (and yours) has the tools and confidence to respect their bodies and recognize what they actually need (or don’t need) to thrive. When we learn to resist the pressure to constantly work on or change our bodies, we can recognize that our own food and movement needs are unique. Comparing ourselves to others or trying to keep up with the latest diet trends and health “hacks” is not productive or helpful.

Welcome to Diet Stops Tomorrow. Let me show you how to ditch the “diet starts tomorrow” mindset, improve your relationship with food, and flip the script on how we talk about diets and our bodies.
